Be careful not to nick or cut the insulation on the individual wires. If using shielded cable, keep the foil shield and drain wire handy for grounding.
- Arrange the Wires by Standard (T568B, the most common) Most installations use the T568B standard, which is clearly marked on our keystone jacks. Arrange the wires in this order: White-Orange, Orange, White-Green, Blue, White-Blue, Green, White-Brown, Brown Keep the twists as close to the end as possible (untwist only what’s needed) to preserve signal integrity, and avoid crossing the pairs unnecessarily.
